A sacred valley

The Tree of Souls stands in a mountain-ringed valley regarded as sacred by many traditions. The valley is a sanctuary rather than an ordinary sovereign country, and its importance is expressed through pilgrimage, prayer, learning, and the care of a cultivated landscape.

The Order of Soul Guardians tends the valley’s monasteries, gardens, paths, and sanctuaries. Its members come from many peoples and share a public vocation of stewardship and hospitality toward those who visit in good faith.
